The 3rd Under-15 Women’s South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championship 2019 kicked-off in the capital yesterday with the defending champions India taking on Nepal. India won the match by four goals to one.
Similarly, in the second match of the opening day, Bhutan lost to Bangladesh. The Dragon girls conceded two goals without a reply.
Unlike in the past editions of the championship, this time, the Maldives and Sri Lanka are not participating.
The championship will be played in a round-robin format in which, the top two teams will qualify for the finals scheduled on 15th October.
