Blocks at Ossey and Jantibir cleared after 5 days

The roadblock at Jantibir above Ossey was opened to traffic for all types of vehicles around 9.40 am yesterday. Around 100-meter road formation at Jantibir along Gelegphu – Zhemgang highway was completely washed away by the heavy rainfall on the night of June 24th.
The Gelegphu – Zhemgang highway remained closed since 24th of this month.  Transport service from Gelegphu to Trongsa and Bumthang were routed via Wangdue Phodrang route and transport service from Gelegphu to Panbang in Zhemgang were routed through Indian highway. However, it is expected to resume its normal service from its old route from tomorrow.
The roadblock at Ossey was also cleared yesterday after five days of blockage.
