Windstorm damages maize fields in Degala chiwog, Zhemgang

A windstorm this afternoon damaged acres of maize fields in Degala chiwog of Bardo Gewog in Zhemgang.

Locals said the windstorm has flattened all their maize plants. Maize is one of the main staple crops in the chiwog of 53 households.

Meanwhile, the Gewog officials are planning to visit the affected area tomorrow to assess the extent of the damage.
