A 31-year-old man, a driver with the Construction Development Corporation Limited (CDCL) was electrocuted while he was cleaning a water tank in their colony in Monggar yesterday.
Police said the deceased and his friend pulled lid of the water tank with the help of galvanized steel wire. However, while pulling up the lid, the wire hit the electrical cable, throwing them on the ground.
The deceased was immediately referred to Gyalpozhing BHU but he later died. His friend was referred to Monggar Regional Referral Hospital and is currently stable condition.
