A 37-year-old man is in Gelegphu police custody in connection to a rape case. He is accused of having raped a 14-year-old girl student.
The accused from Pema Yoedling under Serzhong Gewog in Sarpang is the village Tshogpa.
The accused told the police the act was consensual. The incident took place in December last year.
The case is being investigated.
