Pema Gatshel Middle Secondary School was turned into a hub of celebrations as the school hosted multiple events and festivity commemorating the 4th National Scout Day.
The day was celebrated yesterday coinciding with the 38th birthday celebrations of His Majesty The King.
The event began with lighting of a thousand butter lamps at the Rabdey Kuenrey. It was followed by presentation of mask and cultural songs and dances by the students.
The celebrations also included sport events.
The dzongkhag education sector released a magazine called PASAM. The magazine is a tribute to His Royal Highness The Gyalsey from the students of Pema Gatshel.
Scout members from 21 schools and scout leaders from Samdrup Jongkhar and Trashigang took part in the event.
