Class XII results out, topper from Yangchenphug HSS

Compared to 2016, the overall pass percentage is increased by 6.65 per cent in 2017. Bhutan Council for School Examinations and Assessment (BCSEA) declared class 12 results, this morning.

Dechen Lhamo Gyeltshen, from Yangchenphug Higher Secondary School topped the science stream with 88.25 per cent.  Ngawang Yeshi came second with 87 per cent, and Tashi Tengyal came third with 86.75 per cent.

In commerce stream, Pema Choden from Ugyen Academy topped the board exam with 85.25 per cent. Thinley Dhendup was second topper with 83.5 percent and Yeshi Yuden bagged the third position with 82.25 per cent.

Scoring 85.25 per cent, Passang Wangmo from Chhukha Central School and Tempa Tshering from Monggar Higher Secondary School topped in Arts stream. The second position went to Chhoeing Upel with 84.5 per cent followed by Ugyen Tshomo with 84 per cent.

Over 10,000 students from 58 schools appeared the examination. The overall pass percentage for 2017 is 91.47 per cent, which is an increase of 6.65 percent over 84.82 pass percentage of 2016.

Dorji Gyeltshen from Taktse Central School in Trongsa topped the Language and Cultural Studies Certificate Examination with 79.5 percent. Dorji Phuntsho came second and Jamyang Dorjee came third.

Candidates can collect their mark sheets and pass certificates from their respective schools by the 3rd week of February this year.
