The Bhutan Narcotics and Control Authority (BNCA) have fined 11 people for illegal possession of tobacco products in Phuentsholing yesterday.
The authority collected over Nu 4,000 from the defaulters. They were caught during the surprise check at Ramitey, in Phuentsholing-Thimphu Highway.
Most of the defaulters were construction workers from India. The day-long inspection was joined by Royal Bhutan Police, Customs, and Bhutan Agriculture and Food Regulatory Authority.
