Of the total of 34 pledges for the first 100 days the government claims to have fulfilled 25 pledges, while 9 are ‘works in progress’. The Prime Minister, Tshering Tobgay, was speaking at the press conference yesterday.
Doing away with the preliminary examinations for the graduates, extension of maternity leave for the working mothers, lottery to be restarted and providing women quota and employment are said to be ‘works in progress’.
Speaking to BBS the Prime Minister also said that a seven-member pay commission has been instituted to look into the salary revision of civil servants.
