The Paro police arrested a suspect in the hit and run case that claimed a life of a 32-year-old woman in Paro on Saturday. The suspect, a man in his early thirties, was arrested yesterday. He is a truck driver.
According to sources, the deceased is believed to have been lying asleep on the roadside in Bondey when the truck exited a workshop in reverse. Sources said the woman normally loitered around under the influence of alcohol.
The police are investigating the case.
