Vocational sector in need of a major change in image and attitude

The vocational sector in Bhutan has been struggling to attract young Bhutanese despite a shortage of skilled workers in the country.

With the government’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) reform initiative and establishment of TVET Interim office in March this year, people working in the vocational sector hope to see a revamped image of the sector and change of attitude towards skilled jobs.
