A 40-year-old man died on the spot when the Maruti 800 car he was driving, went off the road in Gelephu, last night. The accident took place at around 11 pm.
He was on his way to Chubarthang check post commonly known as the Chiso Pani check post.
The deceased was the immigration officer in-charge of the check post. He was an unlicensed driver. The cause of the accident is not known.
