Two sentenced for life for chorten vandalism

choretn-The High Court sentenced two men, 29 and 53, to life imprisonment for vandalising a Chorten at Begana in Thimphu

The convicts had vandalized the Dae-wi Chorten on October 19, in 2013.

The police had recovered most of the relics the men had stolen from the chorten.

In 2014, Thimphu District Court had sentenced the convicts for 15 years. The men had then appealed to the High Court.
