The construction of a one storied Dukhang at the Wangduephodrang Dzong has been completed. The consecration ceremony was held today. It was presided over by the venerable Dorji Lopen.
The Dukhang will now house the nangtens of Wangdue Dzong. The Dukhang will also enable Wangdue Rabdey to perform sungchoes.
The construction of the Dukhang started in July this year. About Nu 5 million was spent for the construction.
At the consecration ceremony, Punakha Dzongda and the Gups on behalf of the people of Punakha contributed Nu.15, 76,774 for the reconstruction of Wangduephodrang Dzong.
