Falling boulders and fresh mudslides last night have again caused blocks at Reotala on the Trongsa- Zhemgang highway. Reotala is about 22 kilometres from Zhemgang towards Trongsa. It is a major landslide prone area on the highway.

Our Zhemgang correspondent, Pema Samdrup, says that several travellers have been stranded. Many of them are students who could not travel through Assam because of the worsening situation in the State.

Road officials at the site said the block this time is not as big as the last ones. The blocks could have been cleared but officials said falling boulders and continuous slides are hampering clearing works.
