Three arrested for alleged murder in SJ

Samdrup Jongkhar police arrested two men and a woman for the alleged murder of a 36-year-old man in Gomdar Gewog last month.

The incident occurred on May 19.

According to a source, the main accused, suspecting his wife for having an affair with the deceased went home with an accomplice and allegedly strangled the deceased, after finding him at his house.

Police arrested the husband and his wife on the same day and the accomplice was arrest after a few days.

The husband has confessed the crime to the police while his friend has not. Upon police interrogation with the suspect’s wife, she said she did not know that the deceased was killed as she was hiding inside the toilet.

The case will be forwarded to the Office of Attorney General (OAG) next week.
