A 26-year-old man is under Thimphu police custody for allegedly stabbing his mother, last night.
According to a witness, the suspect stabbed his mother twice and hit her with a cup on the head.
The incident happened at the suspect’s house in Changzamtok.
The witness said the man was under the influence of alcohol when he got home. He is said to have entered the kitchen directly and was about to leave home with a knife.
The mother had tried to stop him.
Enraged at the intervention, the son is said to have stabbed the mother.
