Rural life insurance scheme expected to increase

The claim amount for the rural life insurance scheme is expected to be increased from Nu 30,000 to a minimum of Nu 150,000. This is according to the Finance Minister who shared this while responding to a question from Monggar’s MP Karma Lhamo during the question hour session today. The minister said that they had discussions over this with the  RICBL and that 90 per cent of the work is complete. The annual premium will also be increased from Nu 195 to nearly Nu 400.
