Residents of Udzorong gewog in Trashigang will soon get adequate drinking water. The gewog inaugurated its water supply construction today. Around 150 Desuups will be working on the project. They will construct a water reservoir tank and tap water from the nearby area in Barshong, a source which is around 27 kilometres away from the village. The project will benefit 442 households of four chiwogs under the Udzorong gewog. The project is under the water flagship program and is scheduled to complete by the end of January next year. The project is worth nearly Nu 10 M funded by the Government of India.
