Postal ballot continues to pour in

PostalBallotThe offices of returning officers are continuing to receive postal ballots. All postal ballots must be received before 5 pm on Friday.

Of the 80,134 registered postal ballot voters, the Election Commission of Bhutan (ECB) has received almost 53,000 postal ballot applications. Close to 5000 applications have been rejected for not being registered for postal ballot and some others were rejected due to incomplete details.

The ECB has posted almost 48,000 postal ballots, including to those living abroad.  361 postal ballots were posted to Bhutanese living overseas; most of them were in India, USA and Australia.
