The Pay Commission’s report on the findings of salary revision of the Public Servants will be presented in the next session of the Parliament. The Finance Minister, Namgay Dorji, informed the National Assembly, today, that the government had given one month time extension to complete their findings.
The current economic scenario, Lyonpo Namgay Dorji, said delayed the report. He also added negotiations with the Indian government on Chhukha Hydropower tariff revision took time.

The Opposition Leader, Dr. Pema Gyamtsho, said they should not wait until next session to discuss the findings. “The cabinet should decide and if there are changes they the government should put it up for discussion in the next session.”
And there are those who believe that a pay raise should come through. The Home Minister, Damchoe Dorji, said given there is a need for a system to revise the salary depending on the inflation.
The Pay Commission was formed on November, last year.
