More than ten thousand devotees from across the country gathered at Trashigang to receive the oral transmission and empowerment of Traktung Dudjom Lingpa Sungbum. Dungsey Garab Rinpoche is presiding over the oral transmission at Rangjung Woesel Chhoeling Monastery. The month-long prayer ceremony began on Thursday.

“Rinpoche got his oral transmission from his late father Dungsey Thinley Norbu and his son is the reincarnation of his late father. So, the program is organized to spread his teachings through his descendants,” said Ugyen Pelden, the Khenpo of Rangjung Woesel Chhoeling Monastery.

Dungsey Garab Rinpoche will recite the 21 volumes of Traktung Dudjom Lingpa Sungbum.

Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche also presided over a similar oral transmission and empowerment in 2008 at Bartsham in Trashigang.
