Over 400 students from across the country are taking part in the 15th National School Athletics Meet this year. The annual national sports event began in the capital today.
Starting from tomorrow, the student athletes selected from 20 districts and 4 Thromdes will compete in various track and field events.
The five-day National School Athletics Meet is a part of the School Sports Programme organised by the Department of Youth and Sports under education ministry.
Such sports meet is not only expected to enhance physical fitness and wellbeing of children/youth but also to identify student’s sporting talents at the national level.
