After the launch of online taxi booking app- Oie and Drukride, the Bhutan Taxi Association (BTA) launched yet another online app called Yana on May 2.
BTA claims the new app has features which will not only benefit the taxi users but drivers as well. The app is expected to solve fare related issues arising between the passengers and taxi drivers.
Developed by YANA IT services, the app will be operational in other districts too. “Taxi users and drivers mostly land up arguing on fare. But henceforth, things will be sorted out as the app will help the users to pay right amount as per kilometres,” said the Chairperson of BTA, Rinzin Chophel.
The app will help passengers to book the taxi nearby using the exceptional Geo-location facility. Today, Bhutan Taxi Association has about 1,500 members all over the country.
