Bhutan beats Qatar to reach Semis

Bhutan has entered the semi-final of the ongoing Asian Cricket Council under-19 women’s championship after beating Qatar. The match was played today in Kuwait. Bhutan won the match by eight wickets. Qatar won the toss and chose to bat first. They scored 77 runs in 24.3 overs and Bhutan made 78-2 runs in 20 overs.

The Bhutanese team captain, Ugyen Dema, who made 35 runs was declared the player of the match. Bhutan will face Thailand or Nepal in the semi-final.

In yesterday’s match Bhutan lost to Kuwait by 18 runs. Bhutan made 76 runs all out in 25 overs, while, Kuwait made 94-6 in 25 overs.

The final will be played on February 10.
