The three-day annual Tshechu of Samdrup Jongkhar is underway.
Spectators, decked out in their finest, are flocking to the courtyard of the Dzongkhag Rabdey to witness the festival, offer prayers and receive blessings.
Rabdey monks and dzongkhag dancers are performing various mask dances and cultural performances.
The annual festival ends on Tuesday with the unfurling of the Guru Tshengey Thongdrel for public veneration.
