Rock bees attacking travellers at Banglapokto, about 30 kilometres from Trongsa towards Wangdue Phodrang has become a concern.
Recently, more than 30 people were reportedly stung by the bees and was treated at the Saephu Basic Health Unit. In one incident, some 15 students of Chendenbji Primary School were also stung by the rock bees.
The hives which are located above the Wangdue-Trongsa highway pose danger to the travellers.
Health officials are advising people to visit the nearest heath facility, if stung by the bees, to avoid complications.
