NC disappointed with labour ministry’s last-minute response

NC disappointed with labour ministry’s last-minute responseMembers of the National Council are disappointed with labour ministry for providing them a late response. It came only three days ago.

The Upper House had sought response on the set of recommendations they had come up with on the National Employment Plans and Policies, in the previous session.

National Council’s Chairperson, Dasho Dr. Sonam Kinga said they had forwarded the recommendations to the government as soon as the winter parliament session was over in December, last year.

He said there was ample time for the ministry to respond.

A few members even said labour officials turned a deaf ear to the National Council’s recommendations.

Others said they were genuinely concerned and came up with recommendations to facilitate the government to evenly address unemployment problem.
