Drukair to start flying to Gelegphu

Drukair to start flying to Gelegphu As per the government’s directive, Drukair will start its flights to Gelegphu from December 17. It will operate once a week.

The corporation is yet to determine the price of a ticket to Gelegphu. But they have come up with promotional fare, which will be available for three months, from December 17 onwards. A one-way promotional fare is Nu 3,500 and round-trip Nu 6,000.

Drukair’s commercial general manager, Ugen Tashi said the airline will operate its weekly flights to Gelegphu even if its 48-seater ATR aircraft has only one passenger.

Meanwhile, Bhutan Airlines said they are discussing with the management to see the possibility of starting its domestic operations by April, next year.
