Team Tshering Dha Jigs wins this year’s Coronation Silver Jubilee National Archery Tournament

After a thrilling three-day final, team Tshering Dha Jigs emerged victorious in this year’s Coronation Silver Jubilee National Archery Tournament, defeating team Pel Druba Lamey Densa Lay Inn today. The winners and runners-up received cash prizes of Nu 180,000 and 150,000 respectively, along with trophies and certificates.

Prizes were also awarded for best archer, player of the match, highest Dobji, and highest Karey, among other categories. In a bid to encourage greater participation, certificates were given to women archers as well.

The Bhutan Indigenous Games and Sports Association first organised the tournament in 1999 to mark the 25th coronation anniversary of the Fourth Druk Gyalpo.
