Bhutan out from World Judo Championship 2019

Bhutan suffered an early exit from the World Judo Championship 2019 as Tandin Wangchuk, the only Judo fighter left in the competition was eliminated today.

Fighting against a player who is currently ranked 170th in the world, Tandin Wangchuk was found to be playing too safe which is not allowed in Judo.  With only 28 seconds left on the clock, Tandin Wangchuk was disqualified after receiving three penalties in a row.

This was Bhutan’s debut appearance in the World Judo Championship which is the highest level of international judo competition that International Judo Federation organizes every year.
