The President of the Druk Phuensum Tshogpa (DPT), Pema Gyamtsho, started the Party’s election campaign from Lamgong_Wangchang Constituency in Paro today.
Speaking to the people gathered, the president said if elected the party will work towards achieving self-sufficiency and self-reliance by 2025.
“One of the most important manifestos of the party is to attain economic self-reliance. If we are not self-reliant, it can affect our country’s sovereignty. Our party’s main priority will be working towards achieving that.”
Also, the DPT’s president said the party will focus on tackling unemployment and economy instability in the country by improving tourism industry and starting all the hydropower projects.
In Paro, the party’s president Pema Gyamtsho said his party will work towards improving facilities in the Thromde.
DPT promised to progress with equity and justice in creating a happy society.
Later in the afternoon, PDT’s president met with the people of Dogar_Sharpa Constituency at Nagya.
