A total of 1,589 university graduates qualified to sit for Bhutan Civil Service Examination (BCSE) from the 3,218 graduates, who sat for the Preliminary Examination (PE) this year.
The Royal Civil Service Commission (RCSC) declared the PE results today. The cut-off percentage this year is 50 per cent.
The pass percentage has increased by 19 per cent from last year.
The graduates who made through to the main exam will compete for the 589 job vacancies in the civil service.
According to the RCSC, PE is conducted to shortlist candidates for the main examination and to test the minimum standard required for a candidate to sit for the main examination.
