MoH will provide COVID-19 medical certificates for people who want to travel outside

The Health Ministry has announced that it will provide COVID-19 medical certificates for people who want to travel outside. The ministry issued an executive order on Friday stating that the facility would be available from 3rd July. However, people will have to pay for the tests required to obtain the certificate.

Transporting farm products a challenge with the farm road damaged, Awashing in P/Gatshel

Farmers of Chhimoong Gewog in Pema Gatshel are back to the tradition of transporting farm products on their backs to and from Awashing. This is because the five-kilometre road between their farmlands and the gewog centre remains unusable with damages at several locations due to rain.

Bhutan Institute of Well-being, the only Rehab Centre for both male and female, to open from tomorrow

After remaining closed to clients for about four weeks, the Bhutan Institute of Well-being will be opening its doors to alcohol and drug dependent individuals starting tomorrow. The Coronavirus pandemic has forced the institution to stop taking in clients for the past few weeks which has deprived several girls and women dependent on alcohol and drug, the option to overcome addiction through treatment at the rehabilitation centre.

Court orders prosecutor to refile the charge sheet with grading of offence, Wamrong battery case

The prosecutor for the Wamrong battery case was ordered by the Dungkhag Court to refile the charge sheet to the court tomorrow during the miscellaneous hearing conducted today. According to the court, the charge sheet should contain the grading of the offence.
