SLMP gaining popularity in Monggar

To combat land degradation and improve local land productivity, a sustainable land management project (SLMP) was launched in Monggar. Nearly 35 acres of land in Saling and Tsamang Gewogs of Monggar were covered under the project. Every year, the country loses around three to 21 tones of soil per hectare to land degradation from rainwater.

Unresolved irregularities at over Nu 600 M

The total unresolved irregularities amount to over Nu 600 M according to the Annual Audit Report, which is released today. This is an increase of 48.49 per cent compared to 2017 irregularities of around Nu 400 M.

PAC presents review report on the Annual Audit Report in the parliament

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) presented its review report on the Annual Audit Report to the Parliament today. The committee reviewed on five performance audit reports of revenue collection and management in Thromdes,  in-country travels, core banking solutions in Bank of Bhutan (BoB),  operation of Bhutan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and preparedness for implementation of Sustainable Development Goals.
