An arrow hit a 39-year-old right side of the forehead at 3 PM at Rangthaling in Tsirang, yesterday. Our reporter in Tsirang says the incident happened when they were playing a friendly match with traditional bows. He was immediately rushed to Damphu Hospital and has been referred to JDWNR hospital in Thimphu.

Maggi Noodles temporarily banned in Bhutan

Maggi Noodles, manufactured by Nestle India, is temporarily banned for both display and sale in the country with immediate effect since the source of the implicated product is from India, a press release from agriculture ministry says.

Inflation at its lowest

Bhutan’s consumer inflation fell to its lowest since last year beginning reaching 5.6 percent in April this year. In the previous month it was recorded at 6.2 percent. Food prices slowed down to 3.8 percent in April from 4.7 percent and non-food prices slowed to 6.9 percent from 7.2 percent in the same months.
