The office of the Gyaltshab was inaugurated at Gyalposhing in Mongar yesterday. The people of Gyalposhing and nearby villages offered Thri-Dhar to the Gyaltshab His Royal Highness Prince Jigme Dorji Wangchuck.

Gold smuggling case forwarded to OAG

Paro Police forwarded the case of the seven Indians detained in connection with gold smuggling to the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) today. The investigation found that the men were involved in a gold smuggling racket in India.

CAFCO- a rural bank of their own

A bank of their own, Chhuzanggang Agricultural Farmer’s Cooperative or CAFCO, has started a micro banking scheme called saving and credit unit. Two die in accident

Two men died on the spot when the Bolero they were traveling in went off the road and fell 175 meters below. The accident took place at Gomchu in Khaling, Trashigang at around 6:45 AM yesterday.
