Gyaltshab office inaugurated in Gyalpoizhing
The office of the Gyaltshab was inaugurated at Gyalposhing in Mongar yesterday. The people of Gyalposhing and nearby villages offered Thri-Dhar to the Gyaltshab His Royal Highness Prince Jigme Dorji Wangchuck.
Gold smuggling case forwarded to OAG
Paro Police forwarded the case of the seven Indians detained in connection with gold smuggling to the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) today. The investigation found that the men were involved in a gold smuggling racket in India.
A Lhakhang vandalised in Sherzong
Pema Chokorling Lhakang in Sherzong Gewog in Gelegphu was vandalised and robbed off its precious items this morning. Silver plated kapali with gold rims, silver moenphur and phurba were stolen. The Lhakhang also lost gold plated amulet with turquoise and gold plated tshebum.
P/ling industries sign MoU to employ Bhutanese workers
To promote employment of Bhutanese workers in industries, the Ministry of Labour and Human Resources is in the process of signing agreements with industries in Phuentshogling. The initiative started with five industries signing the Memorandum of Understanding yesterday.

Supreme Court construction nearing completion
After years of delay the Supreme Court construction in Thimphu sees a sign of nearing completion. The Sertog of the Court was placed today. However, sources said it would take another year to complete the entire project.
CAFCO- a rural bank of their own
A bank of their own, Chhuzanggang Agricultural Farmer’s Cooperative or CAFCO, has started a micro banking scheme called saving and credit unit. It was started with a seed money of Nu. 150,000 ngultrum. The scheme was started to give immediate financial support to the members without having to travel to Gelegphu.

Two die in accident
Two men died on the spot when the Bolero they were traveling in went off the road and fell 175 meters below. The accident took place at Gomchu in Khaling, Trashigang at around 6:45 AM yesterday.
