A 36-year-old man was killed instantly by a falling branch in Pemagatshel. The incident took place at Tshelinggor earlier today.

Bhutan’s build-up to submit inventory for the World Heritage List

Bhutan has been nominated to be listed on the World Heritage List since March 2012. To be on the list, Bhutan has to submit ‘inventory’, or a list that provides a forecast of the most important cultural and natural heritage of the country within next five to 10 years.

Man killed in accident

A Bhutanese man was killed in an accident in the Indian state of Assam, when the maruti van he was driving collided head on with an Indian fuel tanker yesterday. The accident occurred at Bogaigaon at around 10:45 am. The driver was a police based in Phuentsholing. He was on his way to Samdrup jongkhar from Pheuntsholing.

Man smashes ATM with a rock

An automated teller machine of the Bank of Bhutan’s located in Thimphu city was smashed by a customer at 1:30 a.m., today.

The winter archery coaching and talent hunt camp for the south west region ended in Phuentsholing today. Hundred and fifteen youth aged between 16 and 23 took part in the tournament.
