Two men in connection with assault on a woman in Kawajangsa Thimphu have been apprehended by the police. They were arrested on Saturday. Both of them are in their early twenties.
The main offender is from Dorokha under Samtse and his accomplice is from Wangdue Phodrang.
According to the police both the offenders have confessed to the crime.
The main accused said that he was under the influence of alcohol when the incident took place. Both are in detention and have been charged under battery case.
Meanwhile, the victim is still being treated at the National Referral hospital in Thimphu.
The incident took place last Thursday night outside the victim’s residence.
