Bumthang District Court sentenced a 36-year-old man from Lhuentse to three years and one month in prison for his involvement in a drug case.
The judgment passed on November 14 convicted him for being an accomplice of his two friends, aged 27 and 42.
While the police arrested his friends from Bebzur in Tang Gewog last month, he escaped and was arrested earlier this month.
Meanwhile, the Bumthang District Court has already sentenced the 42-year-old man to more than five years and five months in prison for possession of 20 grams of hashish last month.
The 27-year-old man from Bumthang was also sentenced to more than three years and five months in prison for aiding and abetting the crime.
