A cook of Damphu Central School in Tsirang succumbed to injuries after he fell down from the 18-foot school’s academic block. The tragedy took place at about 11:30 AM today.

The 42-year-old was evacuated to Damphu Hospital after the incident, but he was found dead on arrival due to severe head injuries.

Sources said the deceased was removing old timbers to be used for the school’s kitchen renovation with his two co-workers when he fell. He worked for the school for the last few years and is survived by his wife and three children.
