Prime Minister Dr Lotay Tshering completed his 21-day mandatory quarantine today after testing negative on RT-PCR for the fourth time. Lyonchhen stayed in quarantine after his state visit to Bangladesh last month.

The Prime Minister also met with the National COVID-19 Taskforce before exiting the facility. While meeting with the media, Lyonchhen shared that the stay in quarantine was tedious but the thought that he was serving His Majesty The King, safeguarding the nation and the people made the days bearable and productive. He also shared concerns over the increase in COVID-19 cases, especially in neighbouring countries. The Prime Minister will now join cabinet ministers and officials for the Mid Term Review of the 12th Five Year Plan that commenced this evening.
