The country’s Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) office handed over 80 audio stories to the education ministry, yesterday. It was in support of the National Commission for Women and Children’s (NCWC) contingency plan for COVID-19.

The audio stories are for the students of Muenselling Institute in Trashigang. The support to Special Education Needs (SEN) schools is one of the sub-projects of JICA Bhutan Office in close collaboration with the NCWC. It is expected to enhance hearing practice and a proper care of a child whose wellbeing is affected by the pandemic. The audio stories will also be available for other students across the country on the education ministry’s website.
