His Holiness the Je Khenpo is presiding over a weeklong annual Lhuentse moenlam chhenmo at the Namdruling Goenzin Dratshang in Autsho beginning today.
Over 300 monks from Namdruling Goenzin Dratshang, Lhuentse Rabdhey and nearby religious institutes of Lhuentse are also taking part in the prayer ceremony. This year’s world peace prayer is being conducted to contain the COVID-19 pandemic across the world. Some local devotees also gathered at the courtyard of the Dratshang with strict adherence to the COVID-19 protocols to recite the mantra of Sangay Menlha, the Buddha Medicine.
The programme will end next Monday.
