Her Majesty the Queen Mother Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck accompanied Her Royal Highness Princess Sonam Dechan Wangchuck graced the launch of a book titled “Bhutan: The Unremembered Nation” today. The book is authored by Dasho Karma Ura, the President of the Centre for Bhutan and Gross National Happiness Studies.
The first and second volumes that delve into Bhutan’s culture, tradition and history were released today. By capturing the essence of Bhutan before the onset of modernization in the 1960s, the book aims to offer readers a glimpse into the country’s past.
During the event, their Royal Highnesses gifted copies of the books to the Ministry of Education and Skills Development, the Royal University of Bhutan, and the ELC High School.
