Heavy rainfall damages maize in Pema Gatshel

Continuous rainfall for a week has damaged almost 10 acres of maize fields in three chiwog under Dungmead Gewog in Pema Gatshel.

For now, 27 households in the gewog is affected by the rainfall. Farmers are worried that what is left will also be damaged by the weather which shows no sign of improving any time soon.

Meanwhile, the gewog administration and agriculture office made an assessment of the damages and reported to the dzongkhag disaster office. Khar Gewog is also receiving reports on a few damages.
