Discourse-on-Human-SecurityDiscourse on Human Security- a global concept to ensuring happiness- was held here in the capital today. Jointly held by the Embassy of Japan, UNDP and JICA the half-day discourse, which was attended by the Senior Government Officials, discussed on development of Human Security concept in the United Nations and the UN’s human security project in Bhutan.

In 2007, the Government of Japan and the UN through United Nations Trust Fund for Human Security, extended assistance amounting to over US$ two million to Bhutan. Some of these projects under the Concept involved addressing rural poverty, illiteracy, education and employment of youth in the country.
