52-year-old Lopen Migmar Tshering from Tshamdrak Goenpa, Chhukha was appointed as the new Zhung Dratshang Umze in Punakha Dzong by Dorji Lopen of the Zhung Dratshang, today.
The newly appointed Zhung Dratshang Umze served in the Zhung Budrel as a senior Drelgo prior to the present post. He joined the Zhung Dratshang as a monk at the age of 11 years and joined the Budrel section at the age of 16.
