The Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority is investigating a complaint regarding electric vehicles or EV taxis sold to taxi drivers allegedly at higher prices. 39 EV taxi owners lodged a complaint to the office recently. The letter stated that the cars were sold to them at over Nu 100,000 more than the initial price.
They also mentioned that the car batteries, which were supposed to give a driving range of over 400 kilometres on a single full charge are not giving the advertised range. BBS is trying to get in touch with the car dealerships and we will bring more details as it unfolds.
