The hepatitis virus is a deadly killer, especially the hepatitis B and C viruses which can lead to liver cancer if left untreated. As the world observed World Hepatitis Day today, the health ministry highlighted the importance of being aware of the facts of hepatitis so that one can take steps to prevent the infection including vaccination. Hepatitis is a major public health problem affecting millions of people worldwide.
